Facebook has always been adding new features for improving the user experience. But at times changes done by Facebook doesn’t satisfy all of it’s 750 million users and some user instead dislikes the change.

Same was with new Chat window recently added by Facebook, the new chat sidebar comes as a complete window on the right side of the screen as compared to the older one which was kind of a popup in the lower right hand corner of the page. If you are one of those users who are not liking the new chat sidebar and want your old small chat window you are at the right place. Whether you are using Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Opera you can disable the new chat sidebar and return to old Facebook style chat.

Once you have installed the extensions or addons just restart your browser and you will see old style facebook chat. Incase you don’t see it just go to options on your chat window and verify the following option is checked – “Use Old-Style Chat” if now just check it and again restart your browser window. Enjoy !
