LinkedIn Launches Career Mapping Tool For Grads

career_pathLargest Professional online network LinkedIn has announced a new career mapping tool in collaboration with PwC US, a large employer of college graduates. This new feature called “Career Explorer” is for college students at over 60 universities across the United States.

Career Explorer is very useful for young graduates who are looking for some direction & guidance in their career development. College student can chart potential career paths, build a professional network and gather valuable insights into the careers they are interested in pursuing. Career paths are easily mapped out for students, based on aggregate paths that existing LinkedIn’s 100 million members have followed. Additional resources for college students, such as relevant job opportunities, the type of education and experience required, and relevant salary information are also available via Career Explorer.


Students can save and create multiple career paths, discover other relevant opportunities, sort through salary information, and uncover education and experience required for different jobs. They can also reach out to other LinkedIn users who could enhance their career.

The company has been adding new features and making acquisitions steadily over the past few months to make the service more social.
