Facebook passes Yahoo to become the second largest Video provider


web-videoIn a recent data release by comScore, its latest online video data in US for the month of August shows Facebook has surpassed Yahoo to become the Second largest video site In U.S, while Google’s YouTube still remains the most popular video sharing site in the country.

comScore’s latest Video Metrix numbers from August shows that Facebook has 243 million viewing sessions in July as compared to 166 million in the previous month of July, Yahoo which is not lagging behind facebook on position three has around 229 million viewing sessions which is far less then the first position taken by Google sites with a total of 1.9 billion.

The newest entry in comScore’s top 10 list was the Break Media Network, which totals to 42 million viewers from its three top sites including Break.com, screenjunkies.com & holytaco.com, with Hullu being drthrowned from top 10. The rest of the top ten list included, in order: VEVO at the forth place, Fox Interactive Media, Break Media Network, Microsoft Sites, NBC Universal, Viacom Digital & Turner Network.
