Internet security is not just a Nice to have feature instead it is a Must Have for most Social Media users.
Facebook users will soon have a new way of knocking spammers out of legitimate account. The social-networking company is rolling out a new security feature called Remote logout that lets users see which computers and devices are logged into their Facebook accounts, and then removing the ones that they don’t want to have access.
The idea behind this new security feature is to knock off unwanted users from using your Facebook account. Spammers use fake phishing sites to trick Facebook users into entering their usernames and passwords, and then they use those credentials to send spam messages to as many Facebook friends as possible. Facebook users will now have the ability to monitor who, when, where, and what activity has recently occurred on their accounts.
In addition to knocking out spammers, this new feature also gives users a way of logging out of machines that they’ve recently used — a library computer or a friend’s mobile phone .Not everyone will be able to use this new feature immediately, as it’s being rolled out “gradually,” Facebook said in an e-mail message.
Once facebook has rolled out changes for your account you can access these setting by clicking on the Account tab in the upper right-hand corner of their profile page, and then click on “Account Settings” in the drop-down menu and see new information about account activity under the “Account Security” area.
How many times have you forgot to log out of Facebook? This feature is just the thing to keep your Social Media experience secure and safe.
