3% of Twitter’s Servers Dedicated to Justin Bieber

justin-bieber-twitterTwitter is definitely a tool for lot of celebrities and Recently Lady GaGa is named as the twitter queen with maximum followers beating Britney to number 2 and recently Dustin Curtis, a designer and blogger tweeted today

Most of the popular users on Twitter have dedicated servers for their accounts. – The guys who works at twitter.

Dustin made a similar tweet yesterday with the following comment

At any moment, Justin Bieber uses 3% of our infrastructure. Racks of servers are dedicated to him. – A guy who works at Twitter.

Surprisingly Bieber — who is often a trending topic on the site, and has more than 5 million followers – which is still around a million less then Lady GaGa which is crowned as Twitter Queen.

Dustin also said all these makes perfect sense and believes in the numbers as Every time Bieber tweets, his messages have to be delivered to more than five million people who then endlessly retweet it. Apparently, his account receives more than 60 @-replies per second for a while after he tweets, which is something Twitter wasn’t originally designed to handle.

On the similar lines in May, Twitter tweaked its algorithm to spotlight new topics spiking in popularity, instead of longtime trending topics. The move made it appear Bieber had been banned from being a trending topic since then.
