Google is just not taking break in acquiring companies related to social media. This time, the search giant acquired Toronto based mobile social game developer SocialDeck likely in an effort to build a legitimate competitor to Facebook. SocialDeck which was founded in 2008 by by COO Anish Acharya and Vice President of Products & CTO Jeson Patel. The conpany itself has confirmed the acquisition on its website but there is no news on the amount that exchanged hands.

This new acquisition by Google can serve two purposes. Firstly, it can be a breakthrough for Google’s mobile Android devices and secondly, it can be an excellent service for cross platform dominance.
Google is doing all it can do to make ‘Google Me‘ – Social Media application from Google a success story.
